National Conference Scholarships
NCPG offers a variety of scholarships to provide greater access to education for the problem gambling and responsible gambling field. We remain committed to providing as much assistance as we can to keep registration fees and travel costs from being a barrier to conference attendance.
Scholarships are open to the public. You do not need to be an NCPG Member to apply.
Reinforcing Resilience Scholarship
The Reinforcing Resilience Conference Scholarships are designed to recognize individuals who identify as Native American and have demonstrated exemplary promise as future leaders in the problem gambling and responsible gambling fields.
February 26 – May 30, 2024
Deadline for Submission: Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 11:59pm ET
Scholarship Award Types
- Main Conference Registration (San Diego, CA, July 18-19, 2024)
- Main Conference Registration + travel and lodging stipend of $1,000 (San Diego, CA, July 18-19, 2024)
- Travel and lodging stipend of $1,000 – Available for NCPG Conference Lead Presenters who have already received complimentary main conference registration (San Diego, CA, July 18-19, 2024)
Application Evaluation Criteria
- Applicant self-identifies as Native American / Indigenous.
- Demonstrated applicant need as reflected in the essay.
- Demonstrated leadership potential as reflected in the application.
- Interest in problem gambling or responsible gambling issues as reflected in the essay.
California Resident Scholarship
The California Resident Scholarships are designed to recognize residents of the state hosting the National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling 2024 who have demonstrated exemplary promise as future leaders in the problem gambling and responsible gambling field.
April 1 – May 30, 2024

Scholarship Award Type
- Main Conference Registration (San Diego, CA, July 18-19, 2024)
Application Evaluation Criteria
- Applicant resides in the state of California.
- Demonstrated applicant need as reflected in the application.
- Demonstrated leadership potential as reflected in the application.
- Interest in problem gambling or responsible gambling issues as reflected in the application.
Diversity in Leadership Scholarship
The Diversity in Leadership Conference Scholarships are designed to recognize individuals who are from underrepresented backgrounds and have demonstrated exemplary promise as future leaders in the problem gambling and responsible gambling fields.
February 1 – March 29, 2024
Deadline for Submission: Friday, March 29, 2024 at 11:59pm ET
Scholarship awards will be announced on May 1, 2024.
