1. An overview of gambling disorder, prevalence, who’s impacted
2. Identifying the similarities/differences in SUD and gambling disorder
3. Identifying current/emerging gambling trends (sports betting, online gambling, cryptocurrency) and what we all need to be paying attention to
4. Creating awareness of the challenges in prevention, treatment and research.The Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies, provider #1487, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period:11/22/2020-11/22/2023.
