Panel will be moderated by Dr. Sandra Adell. Learning Objectives are:
Inspire: To encourage other women to share their personal stories as part of their pathway to recovery in a safe and supportive community.
Educate: To provide research-based information about gambling problems and related mental health issues such as depression in the Black community.
Advocate: To promote advocacy at the personal, local and/or federal level.

Problem Gambling Advocacy Day 2023

Problem gambling and responsible gambling advocates from across the country will convene in Washington, D.C. for the National Council on Problem Gambling’s Advocacy Day. Problem Gambling Advocacy Day brings together key stakeholders in a grassroots effort to highlight the importance of developing strong public policies relating to problem gambling and appropriating the necessary funding for education, research, treatment and prevention.

At the end of the day, lawmakers rarely remember facts and figures. They remember the faces and stories of the people they represent.
