Report Release Webinar: National Survey of Gambling Attitudes and Gambling Experiences 3.0

The presentation will highlight implications for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and advocates working to address gambling-related issues.

The 2025 Ohio Problem Gambling Conference will bring together national experts, state leaders, and local innovators in problem gambling prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery, research, administration, and responsible gambling. Those interested in prevention and treatment of gambling disorder should attend, as well as healthcare professionals who want to learn more about the convergence of risky behaviors such as gambling, substance use, mental health disorders, and health conditions across the lifespan. In addition, gambling operators and regulators interested in promoting responsible gambling and working with service providers in their communities should participate.

Problem Gambling Essentials for Clinicians: Winter 2025 Training

Time: 4:00 – 7:00 pm ET, twice a week from 02/11/25 – 03/13/25

Organization Name: Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health

The Problem Gambling Essentials for Clinicians is a 10-session, 30-hour course to grow your skills in gambling disorder assessment, treatment, and recovery support. This course, led by national experts, will build skills in gambling disorder assessment, treatment, and recovery support. By the end of the course, attendees will be confident in their ability to identify and respond appropriately to gambling disorder within their client populations. Earn up to 30 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) — 3 CEUs per attendance of each live class — while learning applicable skills from award-winning experts. Please note: This training is offered at no cost for providers in Vermont and Michigan. Classes will meet twice a week over 5 weeks.

Strengthening State Advocacy Efforts Through Grassroots Campaigns

Explore strategies and tips for strengthening state problem gambling advocacy efforts through an advocacy campaign. Attendees will learn how to map out a state-level advocacy campaign to advocate for stronger protections to mitigate gambling-related harm within state legislation. The session will highlight what a successful advocacy campaign entails, offer tips for engaging stakeholders, and provide insights on which policy changes will better address problem gambling at the local level.

Basic Training for Problem Gambling (Day 1)
Mar 21 @ 9:30 am – 5:30 pm

Organization: Oklahoma Association on Problem Gambling and Gaming

This 4-day training will take place on March 21 and 28 and April 18 and 25. It is designed to help counselors, peer support specialists, and others build an understanding of gambling addiction.

Twelve hours of case consultation, a prep class for ICGC certification, and counselor resources and a workbook are included in the registration.

The training is free to anyone in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, thanks to Midwest Conference on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse (MCPGSA) funding partners. For those outside the MCPGSA region, registration is $300.
